Johnny Depp may have helped skyrocket Amber Heard's visibility, but don't expect any change for the 28-year-old, despite a very public engagement.

How Is Amber Heard's Love Life Controversial?

"I haven't noticed any change in my career," Heard told W Magazine. "And for better or worse, I've always had a love life that seemed particularly salacious to some people. Before, it was also seen as unconventional."

Heard famously dated photographer Taysa van Ree before getting involved with Depp, 50. The two actors met on The Rum Diary, where Heard got her big break in film.

How Amber Heard Stole Johnny Depp's Heart

"It's very hard to find opportunities like that as a young romantic lead," Heard said about the film. "As a woman, I usually have two options: Sex Object or the Best Friend Who Isn't Sexy. It's not creatively fulfilling to just be sexy. I did nothing to look the way I look. The genetic cards that anyone is dealt are not in their control, so to take pride in my looks would be a mistake. And besides," the actress continued, "in L.A. there's always someone more beautiful!"

Heard may be humble, but it's hard to be any more beautiful than the blonde beauty. Although, Depp's fiancée does her best to stay under-the-radar, being engaged to the Pirates of the Caribbean actor has meant that she can't do at least one thing she loves: drive her car.

"I do miss driving my Mustang," Heard said. "I built it from scratch, and I love that car. But the photographers all know the Mustang, and I hate being hassled. So it's stuck in the garage." Maybe they can drive it on Depp's private island together? The couple has no wedding date, but is set to be planning a "low-key" affair.
