With Regina (Lana Parrilla) clearly going back to the dark side in the Season 3 finale of Once Upon a Time, fans should expect her to continue with her evil ways into Season 4.

Knave Of Hearts Brings 'New Vibe' To Upcoming Episodes of Once Upon a Time?

When Emma (Jennifer Morrison) brought back Maid Marian (Christie Laing) from the past, and back into the arms of Robin Hood (Sean Maguire), Regina became very embittered. Regina's bitterness will likely carry over into Season 4, as noted by Once Upon a Time co-creator Edward Kitsis.

"We have built 66 episodes of growth for Regina and this is a very big setback," Kitsis told E! Online recently. "The question we want the audience to think about is, 'How does she handle it?' It is a very uncomfortable situation for everyone involved, it's very complicated. She's done a lot of growing and yet we know what her weaknesses are."

Morrison previously admitted that it was natural for her character Emma to go back to being against Regina again.

"It makes sense that we're going back to a place where these two women are going to be adversaries." Morrison said.

She also admitted that she would never do anything to intentionally hurt Regina after all this time.

"She never would have intentionally done anything to hurt that," she explained. "But she'd also never let someone die in the circumstance that [Marian] was in. So it's one of those situations where doing the right thing is going to have terrible repercussions. But I think it's good for the show. We should have conflict between Regina and Emma, because that's where the show got its feet in the first place."

Once Upon a Time Season 4 premieres in fall 2014 on ABC, though they have not announced a specific premiere date yet. It will continue to air in its regular Sundays at 8 p.m. timeslot.
