As some pretty significant spoilers for Jurassic World were leaked on the internet, the movie's director, Colin Trevorrow, expressed his disappointment but also confirmed some of the details in a recent interview.

In the interview with SlashFilm Trevorrow was dismally resigned to the perpetuation of the spoilers and said it was unfortunate that fans might not be as surprised by the plot twists he had in store for them. Trevorrow promises that the film will actually be a refreshing one for fans and that they will break the mould.

"That's something you'll have to tell me after you see it," he said. "We're trying to tell a bold new story that doesn't rely on a proven formula, because the movies we watch over and over again are the ones that surprised us, that worked when they shouldn't have."

Jurassic Park 4 is being directed by Trevorrow and will star Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy and Irrfan Khan.

The Jurassic Park films are based on Michael Crichton's series of novels about pre-historic beasts being revived by revolutionary gene technology. Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley are co-producing the film alongside Steven Spielberg, who directed the first two installments in the franchise.

The film will hit theaters on June 12, 2015.
