As the second half of season 2 of Beauty and the Beast recently premiered, Kristin Kreuk, who plays Catherine on the show, hinted at what fans can expect from the rest of the chapter in a recent interview.

Everybody's In A 'Panic,' Need To Come Up With 'A Crazy Plan' To Rescue Vincent?

Speaking to TVLine, the actress also spoke about other highlights of the season, besides the main storyline which follows Vincent's (Jay Ryan) imprisonment and how he escapes from prison. Kreuk revealed that the show will delve more into Cat's family history and fans will actually be intrigued by that.

"Yeah, you'll see Catherine and Vincent working together, trying to figure stuff out," she said. "And we might even see more of Catherine's family history that's revealed. All of that, I think, will be more in line with what the fans gravitate toward. [As for Season 3] we don't know yet because it's still early, but what I think [exec producer] Brad [Kern] will want to do more of that in the 13 episodes that we do next season."

Gabe Suspends Cat To 'Force Vincent Out Of Hiding'?

Here's the official synopsis of the next episode, titled Cold Case:

"Cat's (Kristin Kreuk) sister Heather (guest star Nicole Gale Anderson) drops by for a surprise visit at the worst possible time, just as Gabe (Sendhil Ramamurthy) suspends Cat and Tess (Nina Lisandrello) from the squad in an effort to force Vincent (Jay Ryan) out of hiding. Austin Basis also stars. Rich Newey directed the episode written by John A. Norris and Eric Tuchman (#219)."

Recently, much to the relief of Beasties, the CW announced that the show will be renewed for another season.

The remaining half of season 2 will premiered on The CW on June 2.

Cold Case will air on The CW on June 16.
