The most recently released trailer for Transformers 4: Age of Extinction focusses on the mysterious new character, Lockdown and his mega spaceship.

New Generation Series Figure For Voyager Hound Revealed?

In the clip, which was revealed on June 15, Lockdown seems to have badly injured Oprimus Prime, and is heard saying -- "you think you're the center of the universe." This is followed by Optimus asking Lockdown who sent him there. It almost seems like Lockdown will be real antagonist and will be setting the terms of the game this time around. The one dialogue that has been the highlight of most trailers thus far is repeated again. "This is not war, this is human extinction," he is heard saying.

Earlier this year, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Bay spoke about Lockdown. The publication revealed that Lockdown cannot be boxed and defined, as it is neither completely an autobot or decepticon. Lockdown will be able to transform in a Lambhorgini Aventador.

New Poster Feat. Mark Wahlberg, Optimus Prime And A Dinobot?

"Lockdown is an interesting character. He travels the galaxy, he works for somebody else. And he's here for one person, one alien, and then he's out of here," Bay said. "So he doesn't really want to take sides. The cause and balance of the galaxy is kind of messed up when different species play with different species. And that opens up a whole other gigantic world for Transformers."

Bay went on to talk about Lockdown's mysterious ship that is seen in the trailers and posters.

"Lockdown's ship has a lot of meaning that can go into other movies. There's a lot of backcstory about that ship that's not laid out here," he says. "You're going to see a few things where you're like 'What is that? And what is that?' And you're going to see a couple shots like, 'Wait a minute, who are they?' But we don't answer those questions."

Transformers: Age of Extinction will release on Jun. 27 2014.
