Tamra Barney is not one to let a negative rumor about her parenting skills slide away. The Real Housewives of Orange County star is fighting back at claims that she is a bad mother to her three children, Sidney, 15, Spencer, 13, and Sophia, 8 and is instead being lauded as a "great mother" by her family's therapist.

The reality television star has recently been slammed by her ex-husband Simon Barney for concentrating more on her fame and reality television show than her family at home. The two are currently in the midst of a bitter custody war of their children, with Simon claiming that Tamra is psychologically damaging their children.

Tamra's therapist is defending the celebrity mother by calling her ex-husband's claims a "misrepresentation" of the truth.

"Based on my numerous meetings with both parties and the children, I have no problem advocating that Tamra is a great mother of her three children," child psychologist Renee Husle said, per Radar Online. "She cares deeply for all three children and has never done anything intentional or purposeful to hurt her children.

"I have never heard anything that would indicate that she has ever done anything out of the ordinary, that [she] would hurt, abuse or neglect her children in any way." Husle added.

In addition, Simon's insistence that their daughter Sidney suffers from anxiety because of her mother is a "lie" according to their therapist.

The ex-couple faced off once again in court this week, but have agreed to a continuation until September 10.
