As filming for season 3 of House of Cards is currently underway, it was revealed that the Netflix series ranked second, after Breaking Bad, as one of the most binge-watched shows online.

A Forbes report put the list of shows from a recent survey that ranked the most binge-watched shows during spring 2014.

Tivo's Chief Research Officer Jonathan Steur spoke to the publication about the new trend of binge-watching. ""The notion of being caught up on TV is a very modern idea," he said. "The idea that TV is something you control and that you can manipulate is a post DVR and over the top vision of how television works."

1. Breaking Bad

2. House of Cards

3. Game of Thrones

4. The Walking Dead

5. Downton Abbey

6. Star Trek (any version)

7. Homeland

8. Mad Men

9. Doctor Who

10. NCIS

The third season of House of Cards will film in Maryland, where the first and second seasons were also shot. Initially, the continuation of filming of the third season of the Netflix series was fraught with troubles over the past few weeks as the producers weren't getting permission from the State of Maryland. But the issue was finally resolved on April 25.
