One of the actors for Star Wars: Episode VII may not need a stunt double since he reportedly has professional skills that could make him an iconic character for the film.

Two Newcomers Join 'Episode VII'

It was recently announced that Pip Andersen, a 23-year-old British actor, would be joining the Star Wars cast, and on Tuesday, Business Insider posted some details about the newcomer. While he might be new to acting, he's involved with a special type of sport that could be beneficial for playing an action character.

It turns out that Andersen is a professional freerunner and parkour artist. He is apparently considered one of the best freerunners in the world, and started doing it seven years ago. The site showed images of what exactly this sport contains, which looks dangerous yet athletic.

Freerunning typically involves jumping from multiple posts onto another, and ending with a flip landing feet first on the ground. There are other techniques with it, which can include jumping onto a wall and doing a flip before hitting the ground. The site mentioned that this sport takes up a lot of upper body strength and a good amount of practice.

Andersen can be seen in an image as he's in the process of turning his body upside-down in mid-air during the 2011 Red Bull Art of Motion in London.

Considering that Star Wars is known for having stunt type of work, Andersen's talent could come in handy for the film.

Star Wars: Episode VII is expected to hit theaters on December 18, 2015.
