The Avengers: Age of Ultron is busy turning the mild mannered Bruce Banner into his angry alter-ego, and actor Mark Ruffalo has shared a new snap form the process.

Robert Downey Jr. may be done filming for Iron Man, but the Marvel production machine is still chugging away at England's Shepperton Studios.

"The Hulkatization of the Banner. Come see it happen," Ruffalo tweeted on Tuesday as part of a competition to visit the Age of Ulton set.

With the ever-quickening advancement of motion capture technology, director Joss Whedon brought in The Lord of the Rings' Andy Serkis (Gollum) to make sure the giant green rage monster looks his best.

While Marvel likes to keep its films under lock and key, the Hulk actor recently spoke about the project with Total Film.

"It's, oddly enough, a much bigger movie than Avengers 1 was," Ruffalo explained. "It's a little big darker. We get a lot deeper into the characters now since we established them in the first one and can cover a lot more ground. Ultron's incredible...It's pretty sweeping. It's pretty epic."
