As Transformers 4: Age of Extinction drew in the big bucks at the box office, talk of its sequel Transformers 5 is already doing the rounds. In a recent interview, the movie's producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura spoke about what fans can expect from the sequel.

Unicorn And Galactus To Feature In The Transformers 4: Age of Extinction Sequel?

There had been a lot of buzz about the next movie being set in space as Optimus Prime leaves to look for his creator, which might take him to cybertron. But Bonaventura is not of the same opinion and when asked the question in a recent ScreenCrush interview, the producer suggested that Transformers 5 would take place on earth with a similar setting as Age of Extinction.

"I don't think so," he said when asked if the setting would be different from the previous four films in the franchise. "You know, Michael has found a really great blend of real humor, integrating a lot of human characters with a lot of different kinds of Transformers. I think in that respect, it will be very similar," he added.

Title For Transformers 4: Age of Extinction Sequel To Be Galvatron Rising?

Other rumors surrounding the film about Bay not coming on board for the sequel to Age of Extinction have been quashed. In another interview with Screen Rant dated June 27, producer Ben Kendrick spoke about Age of Extinction and Transformers 5.

He dismissed the rumors about the producers looking for a replacement for Bay in the movies.

"I think it's one of those classic things where somebody reported that and suddenly it became our plan. We have never discussed the idea of how to hand it off, honestly," he said. "It's not like we don't think, well what happens if Michael doesn't do it, of course you do. But we want to keep Michael on this, so we're not spending any time worrying about who could come in. We're trying to figure out how to keep him going and keep him excited."

Meanwhile, it doesn't seem like Age of Extinction has been a success with critics as it has gotten some pretty bad reviews pointing to a sensory overload with excessive use of technical, CGI mined wizardry and a lack of a strong plot, with the human characters almost rendered meaningless.

Transformers: Age of Extinction hit theaters on June 27, 2014.
