In a recent interview, the director of Mad Max: Fury Road, dished about what kind of vehicles can expect to see in the movie.

Mad Max: Fury Road To Be A "110-Minute Chase," More Like Mad Max 2, Dishes George Miller

Speaking to USA Today, Miller stated that the cars will be a cross between modern-day machines and old school cars, but would lean to the latter.

"Due to the state of the world, the technology tends toward the old school as well. Furiosa has a mechanical arm that's pretty much straight out of the 19th century, and the Frankenstein-esque monster battle rigs are dated as well, deathmobiles with humongous exhaust pipes adding to intimidating exteriors. Any modern car with any computer chips in it or something that you can't replace, it's probably not going to survive," Miller said. "And with crash technology and stuff like that, you want a good solid vehicle. You're going to want to go to a scrap heap."

Finally Miller described the cars as being predominantly old iron-clad oil guzzlers.

"They are a hybrid: There are some modern cars, but mainly they're the big, clunky mid-to-late 20th-century stuff."

The filming of Mad Max: Fury Road took 116 days and will feature very little dialogue and few digital effects.

Mad Max: Fury Road will hit theaters on May 15 2015.
