It looks like the characters Blink could be making an appearance in the next set of X-Men movies coming out after she signed a contract to stick around.

Bryan Singer Could Mix Old & New With The Four Horsemen In 'X-Men: Apocalypse'

In an interview with TheStar back in May, star Fan BingBing revealed that she signed a contract to stick around the X-Men franchise for five more movies. She also talked about her character, Blink, and the process she went through to nab the role initially.

"In the comics, Blink is a Caucasian girl, so I was curious why Bryan wanted an Asian to play the role," BingBing said. "He said that it's time for Blink to make an appearance and, for her debut she has to be simply marvellous. It was an offer I couldn't refuse."

Channing Tatum's Gambit May Not Appear In 'X-Men: Apocalypse'

"I am contracted to appear in the next four X-Men films (not including Days of Future Past) and it's going to be really amazing," she added. "In 14 years since the X-Men films started, this is the first time an Asian mutant is in the film. So, it's going to be really interesting."

It seems like Blink may be in line for a lot more screen time and character development moving forward with this new deal. It also looks like she may hold a similar role to Colossus or Nightcrawler and be a sort of supporting character in the future films, but with BingBing's stardom in China, they may use it to garner a larger international market.

X-Men: Apocalypse is set to open in theaters on May 27, 2016.
