He's already part of one successful movie franchise, and now Adam Sevani may have his sights set on joining another one that's being helmed by his Step Up predecessor.

Taye Diggs Reveals Stripper Name If Asked To Join 'Magic Mike' Sequel

Sevani, who has portrayed the character of Moose for four of the franchise's five films, may have an interest in joining original Step Up star Channing Tatum as he begins working on the sequel to his 2012 mega-hit, Magic Mike.

In an August 8 interview with Vulture, Sevani opened up about possible future roles, and didn't turn down the possibility of joining the highly anticipated Magic Mike: XXL if Tatum offered him a role.

Alex Pettyfer Only Original 'Magic Mike' Star Not Signed On For Sequel?

"Yeah sure!" he said when asked if he would take on the film. "I'd have to beef up and gain some muscle and that's no problem, but I haven't seen [Magic Mike]."

After joking that stripping for the movies wouldn't be a problem because he was doing it on the side anyway, the actor went on to promise he would watch the original movie so he'd be ready if Tatum called him.

The cast of the new Magic Mike film has been speculated on since the movie was first announced, and several reports have stated that original star Alex Pettyfer may not have been invited back to the film, after he and Tatum fought while filming the first movie.

Back when the movie was being shot in 2012, it was reported several times that Pettyfer had a bad attitude on set, and that the fights between he and Tatum caused a lot of tension.

"Channing and Alex had a fight while filming," a source told The New York Post at the time. "Those around them tried to mend their relationship, but Channing doesn't want anything to do with Alex."

"He hates Alex," another source told Us Weekly . "Channing thought Alex was a diva on set. Alex was a jerk to everyone during filming for no reason. He thinks he's the star of the movie, not Channing or Matthew McConaughey."

And though McConaughey has also been rumored to  not be returning for the sequel either, the invitation was reportedly extended to him willingly-and the same couldn't necessarily be said for Pettyfer.

"Alex is dying to reprise his role, but Channing is on the fence," a source told OK! Magazine July 11. "It's going to take a lot of sucking up for Alex to get his part back."

If Pettyfer is indeed not returning for XXL (according to the film's official IMDB page he's still only rumored to be returning), Sevani could be a replacement for a newer young protégé character.

Magic Mike: XXL is set to open in theaters July 3, 2015.
