Ichiro Suzuki has been traded to the New York Yankees from the Seattle Mariners. D.J. Mitchell and Danny Farquhar, both right handed pitchers, are reportedly making the switch to Seattle from New York.

Suzuki, 38, has seen a decline in his game in recent years. However, the player has still been hitting .261 this year and performing excellent defense in the right field.

Suzuki played on the Mariners for 12 years. He has been a highly esteemed player since his journey from Japan to the US. Since his entry into the MLB, the player has broke the single-season hit record in 2004 with 262 with a .372 hit and the win of his second batting title.

The Japanese player will wear his uniform number 51, last worn by Yankee's player Bernie Williams.

Many are excited to see how Suzuki will fit with Yankee all-star, Derek Jeter.
