After meeting him in The Avengers, Hawkeye, played by Jeremy Renner, is probably the least known Avenger due to not showing up in other films and having audiences become more acquainted with the character. But it seems like that could change soon.

During an interview with Collider on Monday, Renner talked about his hectic upcoming schedule, which includes Mission: Impossible 5, and also dropped a hint that Hawkeye could be showing up in Captain America 3.

"There are rumblings of Captain America 3. I don't know what's going to happen there. I've got to find the time, man (laughs). I'm trying to stay home and I can't," Renner said.

Jeremy Renner Is A Journalist On The Run In New Photos From 'Kill The Messenger'

It seems like he could be set up for a role similar to Black Widow in Winter Soldier, where they work as the second hero to the Captain. But it also is a weird move because it seems like the next Captain America movie could feature a team of Steve Rogers, Winter Solider, Falcon, and Black Widow.

But with this news, it could mean that Black Widow is getting cut from the next movie in order to set-up her own standalone movie. This has always been a knock against Marvel that they wouldn't make a female-led superhero movie and the move was probably streamlined after Sony announced a female-led Spider-Man movie and DC is setting up a Wonder Woman film.

But it will most likely depend on Renner's availability as he is most likely getting ready to start work on Mission: Impossible 5 and has to work on the new Bourne that is due out sometime in 2016.

The news is good both for fans of Renner's Hawkeye and those who want to see a possible Black Widow movie coming up.
