Nashville is returning in just one week where more details have been released on someone who will share a special connection with Rayna.

'Nashville' Season 3 Will Have 'Twists & Turns'

On Tuesday, TV Line posted a picture of Tony winner Laura Benanti who will appear on the series as Sadie Stone, a woman who receives a lot of attention from the guys. Jeff Fordham is actually one of the first of the men to notice her where a tease was made that their connection might not be strictly professional.

Showrunner Dee Johnson told the site that Sadie is "somebody that ends up on Rayna's radar."

So from the looks of it, the story may end up revolving around Sadie and Rayna more than Sadie and Jeff. It could potentially go both ways, but the relationship with Rayna and Sadie is likely going to have a more positive situation than some other moments that have taken place.

"They connect as women in this business who don't have, say, the baggage that Rayna has with Juliette... It'll be an interesting friendship that we see evolve."

Connie Britton, who plays Rayna, mentioned to Huff Post Live that a lot is about to happen in the third season that the fans can look forward to.

"Season 3 of the show will continue to be very dramatic, lots of drama, lots of twists and turns," she said, published on Wet Paint.

Nashville Season 3 will premiere on Wednesday, September 24 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
