The 2012 London Olympics finished Day 1 of full gaming events and the race for most medals per country has begun. China currently leads with 6 medals (including 4 golds) and the United States follows closely with 5 medals (including 1 gold) in the medal count.

The United States was pretty impressive in the Men and Women's Swimming for Day 1 at the London Olympics. Ryan Lochte earned the first gold in the 400-meter individual medley race.

One bronze each was won for the Men's 400m freestyle and Women's 4 x 100m freestyle relay. Finally, two silver medals were earned for the United States in Archery, Men's team. 

China earned gold in Women's Shooting 10m Air Rifle, Men's Swimming 400m Freestyle, Women's Swimming 400m individual medley, Women's Weightlifting 48kg.

China also took home bronze in Shooting Women's 10m Air Rifle and Swimming Women's 400m Individual Medley. 

Italy is also in the race for most medals with a total of 5, including 2 gold from Archery Men's Team, and Women's Fencing individual foil. They earned 2 silver in Women's Fencing individual foil, Men's Shooting 10m Air Pistol and 1 bronze in Women's Fencing Individual foil.

The London Olympics will be full of intense gaming to catch on NBC live streaming and broadcasting. The Sunday games will feature Men's Basketball, Swimming, and Women's Cycling. 

The US Men's Basketball team will hit the courts at 9:30AM EST to go head to head with France. The "Dream Team" of the 2012 Olympics includes Lebron James, Kevin Durant, and Kobe Bryant. With this caliber of players on the team, the US is predicted to be unstoppable for a gold win. 

In swimming, Ryan Locthe will race the men's 200-meter freestyle and Missy Franklin for the women's 100-meter backstroke. Both are expected to take home the gold. 

Events in archery, cycling, fencing, judo, shooting, and weightlifting will take place for gold medals as well.
