Justin Bieber appears to be pulling out all the stops with his latest music video project, collaborating with an unlikely act in the process.

The 20-year-old pop star, who has been in the news non-stop recently for various legal troubles and his on/off relationship with Selena Gomez, was spotted with none other than Baywatch star David Hasselhoff, 62, as he filmed for his new video, which is a top-secret project.

The two were spotted September 24 filming for the video in Venice Beach, riding in the iconic Knight Rider KITT from the 1980s show Hasselhoff starred in, but the details about the video, including what the car and Hasselhoff have to do with it, are still under wraps.

"We had a lot of fun, and he's a cool guy," Hasselhoff said about collaborating with the pop star. "You'll hear more about it, but we're just keeping it quiet because it's really a cool video, and we had a blast."

The actor even defended the pop star for his recent headline-making behaviors, chalking it up to his young age.

"We're all young once, but you know what? Live it up, baby! You'll pay the price later, but you're only young once," he told People Magazine. "Live it up, and don't care what anybody says. Live it up!"

The video is reportedly Bieber's new song that he did in collaboration with Australian pop star Cody Simpson, something that has been speculated since Hasselhoff tweeted that both singers were present at the shoot.

Simpson and Bieber have been teasing their collaboration for some time, though they haven't revealed any specific details about the song, preferring to keep it under wraps until the big reveal.

"Less than 8 weeks," Bieber teased on his Twitter account September 17.
