Light flyweight boxer Mark Barriga packed a big punch and landed himself a 17-7 victory over Italy's Manuel Cappai on Tuesday. The Olympic's only boxer from the Philippines has been called by many, especially by Filipino media, as a "Little Pacquiao," comparing his to well-known boxer Manny Pacquiao because of his skill and success.

The 19-year-old even trained in Pacquiao's camp to prepare for his competitions at the Olympics this year, according to The Associated Press. From the looks of the game, the win was predictable and Cappai did not stand a chance against Barriga's technique.

Barriga comes in at 5-foot-2 ,108 pounds, and well represents his country, one that does not have much success in the sphere of amateur boxing. Although the Philippines have won five Olympic boxing medals in the past, most of the country's best boxers just go straight to playing pro, according to The Associated Press. Pacquiao himself went pro not long after his 17th birthday.

On Aug. 4, Barriga will go against Birzhan Zhakypov form Kazakhstan. To watch live coverage of all the games, click here
