After a month of constant speculation, it appears Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes' daughter's name has officially been revealed!

TMZ reportedly obtained a copy of the little girl's birth certificate, and claims the couple named their little girl Esmeralda Amada.

Interestingly enough, Amada was the name of Eva's character in her movie We Own the Night, though it is unclear where the couple got Esmeralda from.

Mendes' brother, Juan recently spoke out about the couple's new life as parents, and while he didn't specifically reveal the baby's name, he did say she was carrying a family name-which could be where Esmeralda came from.

"Well, there's the family name," he said at the time, hinting that the tot's name incorporates his sister's Cuban heritage, but refused to reveal the actual name, citing the couple's wish for extreme privacy.

It was believed that his revelation of the name playing into Mendes' heritage and being a family name, that the couple's daughter was possibly being named for Mendes' mother. After news of her pregnancy broke in July it was rumored that if the couple had a son, they planned on naming him Thomas (a nod toward Gosling's middle name), or Donna or Coral for a girl (nods towards Gosling's mother's name and Mendes' mother's maiden name, Corales).

The couple's daughter was born September 12, though Gosling and Mendes have not confirmed her arrival to the media. The couple has also not been spotted out in public since the announcement that their daughter was born.
