It seems like the next movie in the Divergent series will be putting whatever the first film did and beefing it up a lot. Stars from the movie have teased a darker tone moving forward and one actor even talked about the death of a major character at the end of the movie.

Ansel Elgort spoke about the dark tone the movie would be taking in a recent interview with Collider and said that Insurgent is close to be done with filming.

"Insurgent is about to be done. I have one more day left and that's going to be - it's darker and I'm excited for that. It's good. Different from (Men, Women, and Children)," he said.

Another star, Miles Teller, spoke out on the movie to Yahoo! recently and talked about how long the first movie's filming process took and the toll it had on him.

"We shot it through 19 days. There wasn't a lot of time to [prepare]. I didn't want to be hungover or anything. So it was the first movie where I stopped talking to my friends and kind of shut myself off, yeah," he said.

"Divergent was a long shoot. It was four months, and it was my first long shoot like that. Afterwards I just thought I would take a break from it, because even the year before that I did four films back-to-back-to-back."

Jai Courtney, who plays, Eric also talked about the death of his character, which he attributes as not a spoiler because it happens in the book, and said he enjoyed playing a villain for the first time in his career.

Outside of that, it seems like the movie will feature a massive train fight sequence near the end of the film, which fans saw them working on when filming was taking place in Georgia. It also brings back a lot of the Divergent stars including Shailene Woodley and Theo James.

Insurgent is set to open on March 20, 2015.
