Cassidy told TVLine that Grant will play an important role in her journey in this chapter.

"At first they definitely butt heads, but ultimately he surprises himself with the amount of respect he develops for Laurel," Cassidy said.

She went on to state that as Laurel is set to take on her role as the Black Canary, Ted will encourage her and recognise her potential, stating that he is "definitely a part of her journey. He can see the potential that she has, and wants to help her evolve and grow."

TVLine also revealed that Grant will make his first appearance in the series with the third episode.

In July, it was announced that Grant would be joining the series as Wildcat. According to a Deadline report it was made known early on that he will play a crucial role in Laurel Lance's (Katie Cassidy) story in the next chapter.

Ramirez has previously played a recurring roles on a CW show, Emily Owens, MD.

We see potential for this relationship to bloom into something more, and perhaps Grant and Laurel might become romantically involved.

The second episode, entitled Sara, of season 3 will air on October 15 on The CW.
