MTV's Amber Portwood's time in jail could complicate a custody battle enough, but now the Teen Mom star is having some drama with ex-boyfriend and father to her daughter, Gary Shirley.

Amber Portwood Looks To Obtain Custody Of Daughter Following Prison Release

During MTV's Ask The Moms special 24-year-old Portwood accused Shirley of cheating on her while she spent 17 months in prison. Now, Shirley is stepping up and claiming that he'd told Portwood about the girlfriend from the very beginning.

"I told her about my girl five days after I officially started dating her," claimed Shirley in Radar last week. "And I told her in front of my girl friend over the phone cause I didn't want to lie."

"Please be aware that most of what she has said is false," continued Shirley. "Amber unfortunately has to put a spin on things to make her the victim."

Conflicting reports from Shirley and Portwood mean one of them is lying, which could become problematic in the reality star's pursuit of joint custody for their five-year-old daughter, Leah.

There are also rumors that Shirley's girlfriend Kristina Anderson is pregnant, a claim which Portwood has yet to publicly respond to or comment on at the time.

Portwood does seem committed to getting her daughter back, remaining committed to her sobriety and heading back to school in order to turn her life around. She's been out of prison for nearly a year now and wants to build a stronger relationship with her daughter.
