After facing backlash with their engagement VH1's Love & Hip Hop New York star Erica Mena and rapper Bow Wow are still going strong and adding their children into the mix.

Bow Wow & Future Wife Erica Mena Get Close On Instagram

Mena, who is set to marry the co-host of BET's 106 & Park shared a snapshot of herself with her future husband and her son, six-year-old King in a restaurant via Instagram Thursday.

In the picture one of Bow Wow's, whose real name is Shad Moss, arms is around Mena while the other is around her little one. The couple is all smiles while the child looks like he is enjoying himself as well.

She kept the caption simple and implied that the two fellas are her world with a globe emoji.

As for the Shortie Like Mine rapper, Bow Wow has yet to share any photos of the reality star with his daughter, Shai Moss, 3. Still, he did share a picture of Shai Oct. 18 on Instagram. The two were enjoying a ride at what looks like an amusement park.

Bow Wow and Mena caught fans by surprise when they announced they were engaged the weekend of the 2014 BET Hip Hop Awards -- particularly because it was not public knowledge that they were dating to begin with. Considering Bow Wow's outspoken personality and Mena's history as an explosive reality star, many fans thought they were faking an engagement for attention.

During a break on 106 & Park Bow Wow set the record straight.

"Yeah, that's my fiancée on everything...It's far from a publicity stunt. I've never been the type of person that does anything for publicity. I don't need it. I'm on TV every day. How much more publicity do I need? I did this out of my heart, out of love. It's time for me to sit my a*s down. I'm out the game."

He also spoke on he and Mena's history that many people might not have been aware of.

"I think what a lot of people don't realize is me and Erica been knowing each other for years. Like if you pay attention she's in my 'Fresh Azimiz' video right in front of me. I've been knowing her since then and then she was supposed to do 'Lottery Ticket.' It was just like the Pisces-Scorpio connection. It just happened, it just happened. You meet somebody like that, the bond is right then you have to go ahead and make it do what it do."
