Hartley, who was announced as Michael Muhney's replacement on the CBS soap opera in August, also hinted the drama when he appeared on The Talk on Oct. 24 with the other three new stars - Scott Elrod (Joe Clark), Burgess Jenkins (Billy Abbott) and Gina Tognoni (Phyllis Summers).

"They've done a really great job of sort of getting me in there, getting my story out really quickly and then sort of moving on," he said about the show's producers.

As for the other characters in Genoa City, Hartley said Adam will be "wrecking" their lives.

The Revenge star also explained that Adam will come back to his wife Chelsea after she disables the surveillance camera in their son's room.

"He can't spy on his family anymore so, even though he's not fully recovered from his accident, he must get back to town quickly, especially after he hears Chelsea talking about Billy moving in. The control freak in him can't stand it. So, basically, Adam had a five-step plan to get back his life that would have played out over the course of a couple of years, but now he's jumping right to Step 5," the actor told TV Guide in a new interview.
