It looks like not everyone will be using the holiday season to open early and drive down prices. Three major stores have decided to close their doors on Black Friday, but which stores are they?

According to CNN Money on Wednesday, Costco has decided to close their doors on Thanksgiving and will not have any sales in conjunction with Black Friday. They join Gamestop and Nordstrom as the three retailers who have outwardly said they will not participate in Black Friday.

The site added that Costco said its employees "deserve the opportunity to spend Thanksgiving with their families."

This is most likely a retaliation to the latest trend in Black Friday shopping that includes opening up the sales the evening of Thanksgiving rather than early the next morning. Last year, Thanksgiving sales started between 5 and 8 p.m. on Thursday at most major retailers. The nation's largest retailer Walmart started its sales at 6 p.m.

Kmart opened its doors at 6 a.m. on Thanksgiving day and didn't close even for a few hours for the traditional dinner time, like other stores.

As for the other retailers like Best Buy and Wal-Mart, they plan to continue opening on the evening of Thanksgiving day and will have reduced prices on most products. Online providers like Apple and Amazon will also give users the opportunity to get the Black Friday prices from the comfort of their home computer.

Costco and the other retailers not opening for Black Friday will be re-opening at regular times after the holiday.
