Hawes had voiced reservations about the editing room on Twitter last week, where he discussed a number of vivid fears.

Hawes seems to have settled into Episode 2, however, with things moving smooth. The show's third episode is currently being filmed in Dublin, with Damon Thomas helming production, which makeup designer and key prosthetic makeup artist Sarita Allison claims is going very well.

Penny Dreadful returns to Showtime for a second season in 2015.
