Tommy Chong has managed to outlast another competitor on ABC's Dancing With the Stars and has now made it to the semifinals, but will his success continue next week?

Despite having a significantly lower scoring average (28.5 out of 40) than the rest of his competition, Chong and his partner Peta Murgatroyd have survived another week on Dancing With the Stars. Actress Lea Thompson was eliminated despite having one of the better averages in the competition. It is pretty clear by now that Chong is resonating with the voting public, considering he would have been eliminated several weeks ago if it was just on judges' scores.

Now he has reached the semifinals alongside Alfonso Ribeiro & Witney Carson, Bethany Mota & Derek Hough, Janel Parrish & Val Chmerkovskiy and Sadie Robertson & Mark Ballas. Each of these couples became frontrunners from the start of the competition, but Chong is a wildcard that could screw things up for one of those couples.

Alfonso Ribeiro's Body Is 'Breaking Down' on 'Dancing With the Stars'

Ribeiro & Carson have been the top scoring couple in several different weeks and he is presumably very popular with the public so it seems like his slot is safe. However, the three younger women might be a bit too interchangeable, causing Chong to slip through and eliminate one of them. Of the three, Robertson has the lowest average score at 34.5 out of 40 though she has a big Duck Dynasty audience voting for her. Mota has Hough's popularity as well as her YouTube audience voting for her. While Parrish is popular, is her fanbase big enough to send her through to the finals?

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
