Oscar Pistorius is currently serving time for murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine's Day last year. Reeva's mother, June, is now opening up with a book telling her side of what she thinks happened that night.

Oscar Pistorius' Defense Claims His Grief Has Been Genuine

Pistorius upheld throughout his 2014 trial that he thought that his late girlfriend was an intruder in his house, fatally shooting her through his locked bathroom door. He wound up being convicted of culpable homicide and was sentenced to five years.

Steenkamp's mother's book, Reeva: A Mother's Story, details that June doesn't believe Pistorius' story still. In her book she said, "Oscar's story I don't believe."

The Independent reported more passages from June's book, which include:

"Not one of his actions suggests he felt protective towards her. They had a fight, a horrible argument, and she fled to the bathroom with her mobile and locked the door. I think he may have shot once and then he had to go on and kill her because she would have been able to tell the world what really happened, what he is really like."

June asserted in her book that there's no doubt in her mind that her daughter decided to leave the Paralypiam the night of her death. June noted in her book, "I believe their relationship was coming to an end. In her heart of hearts she didn't think it was making either of them happy."

She also alleges that Pistorius was always destined to kill someone. She claims her daughter had bad luck in meeting him.
