The stakes on The CW's The Originals will be high come episode eight when the drama gets a very special return.

Esther has A 'Horrifying' Plan This Season On 'The Originals' 

While Rebekah (Claire Holt) will be rejoining her brothers in New Orleans during the Nov. 24 episode, it is baby Hope's return to the city which will put everything on the line for the child's hybrid parents, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin).

On Thursday TVLine revealed exclusive images from the upcoming episode, which include Rebekah pushing little Hope in a swing at the park, nervously looking over her shoulder at a potential threat.

Joseph Morgan Dishes On 'Crazy Family Dynamics' On 'The Originals' 

Another image showed Rebekah revealing Hope to her brother Elijah (Daniel Gillies), who has struggled with his romantic feelings for Hayley throughout the series.

Rebekah and Hope's storyline will be presented as a two-episode arc, meaning they will be around just long enough to stir up some trouble. The big threat is that Klaus' mother Esther (Sonja Sohn) will find out that the baby is still alive. It's possible, however, that Esther's sister, who has laid a claim on every first-born child in their family line, is already aware of Hope's presence and is planning to take the baby.

Klaus and Hayley sent their daughter away so that they could protect her and reuniting with their child is bound to be an emotional experience all around.

The Originals continues on The CW with its second season Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
