Glee fans worried about Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Blaine's (Darren Criss) relationship in the upcoming final season can rest assured that they are going to have a happy ending.

'Glee' Final Season: Big Santana-Brittany Moment Confirmed For Episode 3

With multiple reports claiming that Kurt and Blaine are broken up in the final season and Kurt's former bully (and closeted homosexual) Karofsky (Max Adler) now dating Blaine, fans of the couple have been outraged.

Glee co-creators Brad Falchuk and Ryan Murphy spoke with E! Online about this plotline in the final season and teased that everything will likely turn out okay for Kurt and Blaine by the end.

'Glee' Will Have An 'Optimistic, Uplifting' Ending, Ryan Murphy Giving Fans What They Want

"It's Glee," Falchuk said. "Be happy. It's going to be OK."

"You have to have obstacles to have a happy ending," Murphy noted. "I've spent a year learning what they want. We have a list in the writers' room that says, 'What do the fans want to end that show?' And our endings are all very uplifting, and I think by the end of it, people will be ecstatic and really thrilled by how things turn out. I am."

It looks like Kurt and Blaine will probably end up together by the conclusion of the series in 2015. Fans have apparently been rather indignant over the new Karofsky storyline though.

"I have a lot of angry tweets. But look, it's a new season and we're exploring some stuff," Falchuk said. "We love Kurt. We love Blaine. We love them together. We love them apart. We love them all kids of ways. And I think that their relationship is a really great place to explore some more complicated stories. Really, it's going to be OK."

Adler is set to appear in at least four episodes of the final season, so it will be a pretty major story arc. It remains to be seen if and when Kurt and Blaine get back together for good.

Glee is expected to return in early 2015 on Fox, though the network has not yet scheduled a specific air date.
