The third Captain America movie is going to have one of the biggest casts outside of the Avengers series. But with big names like Iron Man already confirmed to appear, what other characters will be showing up to join the fight?

As of now, the list includes: Iron Man, Black Panther, Crossbones, Falcon, Hawkeye, Winter Soldier and Black Widow. What other heroes could be joining, though?

The end of the next Avengers movie is supposed to introduce a new team of heroes that will fight alongside Captain America. Many rumors have pegged Captain Marvel, War Machine, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch among those.

Captain America Is In For More Trouble, According To Third Movie Villain

War Machine (played by Don Cheadle) is a strong possibility. His role seems to be expanding and with the character showing up in the Age of Ultron, it could mean that he will become a more crucial character than just being on the side during the Iron Man movies.

Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch will also be introduced in Age of Ultron so depending on the reception they get, both characters could be getting more time in Civil War as they begin to flesh out their roles. They could also be headed to Inhumans, but most likely, they will be apart of Cap's new team also.

Captain Marvel is probably the most unlikely. While her character was expected to be apart of the team, those plans could've changed due to her getting a solo film in Phase 3 and Marvel wanting to withhold the casting choice for a little longer.

Either way, the movie will be showing off some new faces in the Marvel universe and will most likely give these side characters more screen time than before in order to establish some new characters in the universe.
