With more glimpses at the movie coming later this week, franchise star Arnold Schwarzenegger took to Instagram to give fans a look at what is to come with the first trailer.
It was announced on Tuesday that the first trailer for the upcoming Terminator: Genisys would be unveiled on Thursday, Dec. 4. But to get fans excited for the first look, Schwarzenegger debuted a new motion poster on his Instagram account that showed at what could be on the way for his character and the return of some old favorites.
While the decaying head is ominous, it could be signaling an end for Schwarzenegger's character as he joins a revitalized group that includes Game of Thrones star Emile Clarke playing Sarah Connor and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes actor Jason Clarke taking on John Connor.
While much of the plot isn't known, this could be a hint at the destruction and end that could be happening to Schwarzenegger as he returns to the franchise that made him a star. It is hinted that there will be some sort of time travel that could have him shooting back to help the younger versions of Sarah and John.
With the first trailer appearing, and the glimpses at the cast coming a few weeks before, it seems like everything is coming together for the movie as director Alan Taylor tries to jumpstart the series again.
The film is due in theaters on July 1, 2015 and stars Schwarzenegger, Emilia, Jai Courtney, Jason, Matt Smith, Byung-Hun Lee and JK Simmons.
