From the swimming pool to the bathtub, Olympic swimmer and gold medalist Michael Phelps is sporting the same swimsuit, but now while lying in bath water for a new Louis Vuittion advertisement.

Originally reported by E! News, Phelps is in a new Louis Vuitton ad campaign and the first ad, released this week, shows him in a bathtub full of water wearing a swimsuit bottom, goggles on his forehand and having a Louis Vuitton duffle bag on the floor next to him.

The photograph was said to be shot by famous photographer Annie Leibovitz, according to E!

Phelps, 27, announced his retirement from swimming and competing in the Olympics earlier this year but fans now have the opportunity to see him one more time in a swimsuit.The swimmer is not the first Olympic athlete to take his fame outside of the sporting arena and to pursue other media endeavors.

Fellow swimmer Natalie Coughlin was a contestant on the ABC hit television show "Dancing With the Stars" and prior to the start of the 2012 Olympic Games, many athletes appeared in national ads, making their debut as models.

Women's boxer and Olympic Team USA athlete Malen Esparza was featured in a Cover Girl ad and commercial before the start of the London Games. Her win in the women's flyweight quarterfinals also made her the first Cover Girl model to win an Olympic boxing match.
