Erica Mena and Bow Wow are going strong and preparing to tie the knot; but now her ex-girlfriend and Love & Hip Hop New York costar Cyn Santana has spoken out about their past relationship.

Fans were shocked when Mena announced her engagement to Bow Wow, especially since it seemed like only days since she and Santana decided to call it quits. In preparation for the upcoming season of Love & Hip Hop New York, Santana opened up about Mena before their split and her engagement.

"Our relationship is a little bit complicated.

"But we're working through it. And I think we're in a good place right now. So I'm hoping we can get to a better place. We're just gonna change a couple of things. And here it goes.

"Last season I wasn't able to show myself to the world. It was just me and Erica drama. And me and Erica fighting. Now it's Cyn putting her foot down and telling Erica, this is what you need to do if you want to be in this relationship. If not, you can go."

It obviously did not work out for Santana and Mena.

Interestingly enough, Mena recently said that she knew that Bow Wow was someone special when he encouraged her through she and Santana's split.

"I realized I was in love with it, it was the craziest thing because once I told him that me and Cyn were really done and over with, the first thing he was really concerned about was how I felt. So before he kind of made his initial move, he was trying to literally, as a friend, keep me going through that whole breakup."

She added that people close to Santana "influenced" her in a negative away that led to them going their separate ways.
