The question was first posed back in season 3, but the act never came to fruition. With the inevitable return of the Colorado Kid, the old storyline will come back into play.

"We will learn about this, absolutely!" teased writer Brian Millikin in the wake of the 5A finale.

The Wrap has confirmed that Steve Lund will return as James Coogan, the son of Sara (Emily Rose) and a time-traveling Nathan (Lucas Bryant), but the circumstances surrounding his arrival are unknown. Will he somehow bring the barn back, or will viewers be treated to a flashback of Dave's missing hour on the day Coogan allegedly died?

While Nathan tried to make Audrey kill him in season 4, believing he was her true love, the reintroduction of the Colorado Kid offers up another possibility.
