With allegations of domestic abuse at the hands of Chad Johnson recently behind her, Evelyn Lozada must now deal with another emotional blow; the death of her brother-in-law Anthony Ochoa.

Married to Lozada's sister Sylvia, the long-time cancer survivor unfortunately lost his battle to the deadly disease on Aug. 13 at just 43 years of age.

The "Basketball Wives" star had written the following message to her late brother-in-law upon his passing, according to the Evelyn Lozada website:

"I can't put into words how much you meant to us and your life was taken far too soon. I promise to take care of my sister Sylvia and your beautiful girls Mia and Nisa. Thank you for having the strength to keep your promise to me and you will forever be our angel and in our hearts. We love you."

Ochoa was in attendance at Lozada and Johnson's wedding, which was scheduled to be televised but has now been prevented from airing after VH1 axed the series "Ev & Ocho."

NFL wide receiver Johnson was arrested on Saturday for his physical assault on Lozada after she had confronted him in regards to a receipt from a condom purchase. After spending the night in prison, Johnson posted a $2,500 bail and was released on Sunday morning at 10 a.m.

The once promising star was then cut by the Miami Dolphins football team on Aug. 12.  Also, Lozada filed for divorce on Aug. 14 at the Broward County Courthouse.

Our hearts and prayers go out to both the Lozada and Ochoa families in this dire time of need.
