The Blacklist will reveal Tom and Red's mysterious past as season 2 progresses.

'The Blacklist' Episode 10 Focuses On The Fulcrum, Who Will Find It?

The NBC drama ended their midseason finale with a tantalizing cliffhanger, teasing a connection between the master criminal and the deceptive traitor before leaving fans to stew for three months. As season 2 recommences, viewers will find that the long hiatus was well worth the wait.

"Tom [Ryan Eggold] clearly has some sort of past that Liz [Megan Boone] is not aware of, that involves Red," said executive producer Jon Bokenkamp, according to TV Line. "We will continue to tell that story. We don't dive right into it in the Super Bowl episode, but that does start to bubble up later in the back half of the season."
