It's been years since critically-acclaimed and beloved comedy "Arrested Development" went off the air in 2006, but now fans have a better idea of when they'll get to feast on new episodes - spring 2013.

Creator Mitchell Hurwitz has been hard at work on the long-anticipated fourth season for the show, but after production for the episodes got under way, all fans knew was to expect the new content next year.

Now Netflix has gotten a little more specific: season four of "Arrested Development" will hit the movie streaming site in the spring.

A Netflix spokesman also gave fans another tease. It's possible the original 10-episode order could grow to create an even longer season.

Star David Cross, who plays flamboyant therapist Tobias Fünke, told Rolling Stone that the new season could expand to 14 episodes, but the Netflix spokesman wouldn't confirm that.

What fans do know is that all 10 - or perhaps more? - episodes will become available on Netflix all at once, side-stepping the traditional television distribution model of releasing new content every week.

In his interview with Rolling Stone, Cross also said Hurwitz's new scripts are mind-bogglingly complex, just like the episodes that originally aired on Fox.

"I think a lot of people will miss the work that is involved, the story, the Venn diagrams that are being created, the domino effect that characters have with each other in their various episodes," Cross  said. "I know what he's doing, and this has never been done on a TV show like this. This makes 'Lost' look like a Spalding Grey monologue."
