The entire family was shocked by Rick's (Jacob Young) announcement that he and Maya (Karla Moseley) would be running Forrester together-and his wife, Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) may finally have been dealt the last cruel blow to her marriage as a result on The Bold and the Beautiful.

She was a huge backer of Rick's bid for irrevocable control of the control, thinking he was planning on running it with her, but when she learned that he not only intended to replace her with Maya professionally, but personally as well, it was a huge shock.

Now, she will confront her husband about his tricking her-despite making her believe he had forgiven her for sharing a few kisses with Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) as they designed together.

Eric Makes A Decision About Rick's Future

"How pathetic do you think I am?" Rick asks an upset Caroline in a preview clip for the Monday, Jan. 5 episode.

"You said you forgave me!" she replies.

"And you said you would be faithful!" he shouts back.

Now, with the reality that Rick has no intentions of forgiving her, and will likely make her life a living hell at work as well dawning on her, Caroline may make a drastic move to keep herself from having to deal with the pain and quit her job so she doesn't have to see Rick and Maya together anymore.

"I understand that you're angry and I deserve that, but I do not deserve this," she says to Rick.

After she potentially considers quitting the company however, she may find herself talked down from a hysterical state by Ridge himself-as he believes that Rick's current intentions with Maya aren't as genuine as he claims.

"Maya's just a pawn in Rick's little game," he says in the clip. "Only she doesn't know it yet."

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
