New terrifying stills of Insidious 3 featuring, what seem to be, the demons from "the further" and Lin Shaye as Elise, were recently unveiled.
The two images were revealed by USA Today and show new faces or creepy ghastly people from beyond the grave. In one of them Elise is seen sensing an evil presence behind her, with a horryfying cadaverous looking man in the backdrop.
The official trailer for Insidious: Chapter 3 was released on October 22 and is labelled "the darkest chapter" which goes back to "the beginning."
Dermot Mulroney is seen playing Sue's (Stefanie Scott) father, and the clip starts with her being wheeled in by her dad as she has a fracture. They settle into their new apartment appreciating the neighbors but all's not well, in this seemingly normal space. As Sue resigns for the night in her bedroom the eerie business begins as somebody knocks from the other side of the wall, which is followed by something freaking her out in the room.
The trailer lets know that this one precedes the first two chapters and will take fans to the origins of "the further."
Elise, Specs and Tucker are also seen in the clip.
The first two films in the Insidious franchise were helmed by the writer-director team of Leigh Whannell and James Wan. But as Wan had his plate full with Fast and Furious 7 for Insidious 3 Whannell took over, and has both written and directed the project.
Whannell revealed that third film will not be based around the Lambert family. But that does not mean that this sequel will be completely disconnected from the first two films, as the writer also added that this one will be "a lot more like part one than part two."
Insidious: Chapter 2 was released on Sept. 13 and topped the U.S. box office scoring $41.1 million over in its opening weekend. The film stars Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Lin Shaye, Ty Simpkins, and Barbara Hershey reprised their roles from the first film in the series.
