Whether they're on camera or off, "The Real Housewives" seem to have drama following them wherever they go.

"Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Adrienne Maloof, 50, and her husband Dr. Paul Nassif, 50, filed for divorce in Los Angeles on the morning of Aug. 28. Both parties cited "irreconcilable differences" as the cause of divorce.

In Nassif's divorce documents, he acknowledged signing an iron-clad prenup (which protects the Maloof family fortune) and stated that he wants joint legal and physical custody of the couple's children, according to TMZ.

The separated couple has been married for ten years and has three sons together: Gavin, 9, and 6-year-old twins Christian and Colin.

Nassif originally filed for legal separation on July 30, and it is rumored he moved out of their home before the split went public, WetPaint Entertainment reported.

"RHOBH" fans held out hope that the bickering couple would resolve their marital issues.

In an interview with Us Weekly, Maloof said, "It's just another bump in the road. Just like any marriage, it has its problems. We happen to be doing that right now and it's on a public platform."

She continued on and said, "I'm hoping for the best. Our children come first and we'll see."

According to RadarOnline, a source close to Maloof said, "Adrienne is going to fight Paul for full legally custody of the kids. She wants primary physical custody."

The source went on to explain, "She says she is the parent who is with the kids the most, and she will do everything she can to keep them. She believes this is what is best for them."

Maloof still has some positive developments going on in her life. She is said to be in talks with NBC, the parent network of Bravo (which is home to the "Housewives" franchise), for a show involving her and her family.

"The show is in the works and it will focus on Adrienne and her brothers and the Maloof family businesses. The show is in the early planning stages but it will be a competition-style reality show based around family businesses," a source told RadarOnline.

The Maloof family owns the Palms Casino in Las Vegas and the Sacramento Kings basketball team. The mother of three is also quite the busy lady. She is head of marketing and promotions for her family's brands, has two shoe collections and a skin care line, created a line of designer iPhone cases called "OMG Cases" and has a premium vodka brand named "Zing."
