It may have looked serious from the trailer, but Ant-Man will have more humor that expected.

Unlike DC, Marvel films tend to err on the lighter side. From the depths of intense battles against pure evil, the heroes of the MCU always find room for a chuckle or a bit of sarcastic wit (we're looking at you, Iron Man). The Guardians of the Galaxy proved this rather spectacularly last summer and, unlike the other Phase 2 films, Guardians placed that humor upfront in it's trailer.

Ant-Man chose to let laughter play second fiddle in its first promo, but actress Judy Geer (Maggie) informed IGN that the July film still has an element of levity.

"I haven't seen it yet but there was a lot of comedy on set and we did a lot of comedic improv," Geer said. "I don't know what will end up in the movie, but yeah [there is comedy]."

With Paul Rudd at center stage, it would be extremely shocking if Scott Lang (Rudd) and his cohorts failed to make audiences laugh as much as cry.
