Emily, Aria, Hanna, and Spencer won't be teens forever, and the college search is central to season 5B. However, with 'A' apparently road blocking Aria's admissions, Hanna's university visits cut short by clues, and Spencer refusing to open her acceptance letters, its beginning to look like the Liars may never leave home.

Despite 'A' making a senior year even more stressful than normal, the writers have a solid post-graduation plan in place for season 6.

"It's part of the fact that, basically, one of the things we really we needed to pay attention to was that high school's almost over," executive producer Joseph Dougherty informed The Hollywood Reporter. "The Oberlin question and some of the questions that are going to come up, all the stories have to do with, where are they going, assuming they'll be able to go somewhere. Oddly enough, Rosewood High will end. We have an actual plan on how to do this [for season six]."
