Chris Brown and Rihanna shocked fans when they shared a kiss on the lips and an embrace during last week's MTV Video Music Awards. Now, many fans and critics are questioning if Brown's latest tattoo is of the "We Found Love" singer.

Brown's tattoo is black-and-white and depicts a woman's partially disfigured face. Click here to see a photo of Brown's tattoo.

Many are comparing the image to the 2009 picture of Rihanna's bruised and lacerated face that was taken after Brown violently assaulted her.

However, Brown's rep told Gossip Cop that the tattoo ""is not Rihanna."

Coincidentally, Rihanna debuted her new tattoo - in memory of her late grandmother, according to Celebuzz - on Sept. 9, which shows the Egyptian goddess Isis kneeling with her wings spread, across the star's ribcage.

Many rumors have surfaced that the tumultuous pair have been secretly hooking up after Brown's brutal assault in February 2009.

Rihanna, 24, recently told Oprah Winfrey in an interview that she still thinks Brown, 23, is "the love of my life."

"We have maintained a very close friendship ever since the restraining order was dropped. We built a trust again and that's it. We love each other and we probably always will," she said to Winfrey. "I have forgiven him. It took me a long time. I was angry for a long time. I truly love him, so the main thing for me is that he's at peace...I care."

Brown's current girlfriend, aspiring 23-year-old model Karrueche Tran, was "totally pissed off" with her beau of nearly a year after he congratulated his ex for her Video of the Year win with an overwhelming display of affection, a source told Us Weekly.

"She felt the kiss was a public slap in the face," the source said.
