Media consultant Max Dawson may be the most hyped contestant going into CBS's Survivor: Worlds Apart, having previously taught a class on the reality show.

Max, 37, is part of the white collar tribe on the upcoming season of Survivor, which pits people from white collar backgrounds against blue collars against "no collars." Well-known in the Survivor fan community, Max is one of many this season to fit the archetype of "superfan."

In his CBS bio, Max explains that his personal claim to fame is teaching a college course on Survivor at Northwestern University.

Being a professor, he likens himself to one of the more classic orators in Survivor history, Jonathan Penner.

"We are both opinionated, outspoken, truth-telling Jews who make our livings with our words," Max says. "Like him, I love Survivor and all that it stands for. I believe that the game deserves to be honored by the individuals who are fortunate enough to play it."

Ultimately, Max describes himself as a "natural salesperson" who is able to get what he wants and sell either himself or a product.

"In recent years, I have consciously worked to hone my abilities to read, understand and influence others, learning and refining new techniques that I've employed to great effect in my career and personal life," he adds. "I have no doubt whatsoever that I will enjoy an equal level of success in Survivor."

Survivor: Worlds Apart is slated to kick off on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
