He unfortunately has forgotten who he is, despite a brief flash of memory before he underwent surgery, but that won't stop those who have become his friends in Port Charles from trying to help Jake (Billy Miller) recover his memory on General Hospital.

Jake Remembers Something After Surgery

Most surprising to him now is Sam (Kelly Monaco)-who while he was under Helena's (Constance Towers) control, he nearly tortured by breaking into her home, and holding her hostage during Faison's (Anders Hove) escape. Despite all of that however, Sam will find herself drawn to trying to help him.

"Why would you want to help me after everything I've done to you?" he asks her in a preview clip for the Tuesday, Feb. 24 episode.

Nikolas Learns Jake's Real Identity

What neither one of them is aware of though, is that Jake is actually Sam's presumed dead husband-Jason Morgan. However, someone in town does now know the truth-and is wrestling with whether or not he should spill the beans. And the fact that Nikolas (Tyler Christopher) could tell everyone the truth is plaguing him, as he wonders if keeping the secret is for the best or not.

"Do you think Jake will ever be able to remember who he is?" he asks Patrick (Jason Thompson) in the clip.

If Nikolas does decide to ever share the information, he would not only need to tell Sam, who feels somehow connected to Jake, but Liz (Rebecca Herbst) as well-because she too feels connected to him. And that connection has also compelled her to try to help him as well-even though it has nearly destroyed her relationship with Ric (Rick Hearst).

"What could we possibly have to talk about?" she asks him coldly in the clip.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
