The American Horror Story theme song plays along with a graphic for American Horror Story: Hotel, which appears to be the title of the fifth season.

This news follows Gaga's stunning performance at the Oscars, with the usually outlandish singer performing a straightforward yet powerful Sound of Music medley. She has received rave reviews from many publications and the general public itself for her performance.

This also may be the answer to who will be the new star of American Horror Story now that Jessica Lange has announced her departure from the show. A new report from TVLine says that sources are telling them Gaga will be the new star of the show.

The report also says that character details are being kept under wraps for the time being.

Gaga has certainly dabbled in darker themes in her musical career, with her blood-soaked performance of Paparazzi at the MTV VMAs being especially memorable. She is also very well known for her unusual costume choices, so she should feel right at home on the set of American Horror Story.
