One man had an emergency that actually landed him in jail.

A Florida father made a strange case for domestic disturbances when he called the police on his own daughter.

Robert Hagerman was drunk at the time he allegedly dialed 911 because he wanted a beer, and his daughter wouldn't oblige by getting one for him.

United Press International reported that Hagerman called 911 to complain about a domestic violence situation at his home. He reported to dispatchers that his daughter, who the reports have yet to identify, was hurting him physically, throwing things and abusing drugs.

When police arrived at the house around 11 p.m. on Thursday, they received a very different account by the daughter and found that Hagerman was intoxicated and uncooperative.

Hagerman's daughter then told authorities that she refused to go to the store to buy her 56-year-old drunk father more beer when he started to threaten to call the police with allegations against her.

But this wasn't a case of he said and she said, as the Tampa Bay Times reported the quick thinking daughter had apparently recorded her father's threats on her cell phone. She played the audio recording back for the Pinellas deputies to hear and Hagerman was arrested on a charge of making a false report of a crime.

Hagerman was taken away and placed in the Pinellas County Jail Friday, facing $150 bail. The reports failed to mention what brand of beer the Florida man was asking his daughter to buy. In the end, he didn't spend his night the way he'd planned and his craving lead to jail time instead of Miller Time.
