Emotions are high as the stars are back moving and shaking on the dance floor.

It's looking to be an all star season of "Dancing With the Stars" and the premiere episode this season gave host Tom Bergeron more than he bargained for.

As Bergeron welcomed back the new batch of celebrities that comprise many past winners and finalists, he was welcomed back with a kiss from actress Kirstie Alley.

On Monday nights show, Alley preformed a foxtrot for the judges who had tough words for her and gave her 19 out of 30 points. She didn't seem to let it bother her too much as she turned her attention to Bergeron.

The two engaged in a long lip lock which was Alley's way to recognize and honor Bergeron for his first Primetime Emmy award, which he accepted the night before.

"He won that Emmy, he needed to be rewarded," she commented backstage after the show.

"Winning an Emmy certainly has its perks! Thanks, @KirstieAlley!" Bergeron tweeted after the show.

The unexpected kiss helped rally the crowd in applause and cheer after they'd just booed the judges for their harsh comments over what was felt as a strong performance by Alley.

The dancing showdown is close to taking its first victim this week as Pamela Anderson took the bottom spot of the leader board getting only 17 points for what was viewed as a problematic cha-cha. Carrie Ann Inaba offered the actress and former Playmate a criticism that she likely hasn't heard much of before: "The body wasn't quite there." But fans of the show know, it's not just about the dancing.

With the fans being the biggest factor in the early weeks of the show, we'll just have to wait in see what other unexpected surprises will await this season of "Dancing With the Stars."
